Book Sense is a program that seeks to build a national identity for independent bookstores while celebrating the unique character of each store--to underscore the collective strength of independent bookstores to consumers. 

Book Sense identifies the place in your community committed to books and the people who love them where literary insights are shared with delight. As one of over 1,000 Book Sense participating stores we are proud to offer:

• Book Sense Bestsellers:
  -- the actual book sales reported weekly by clearly the largest network of reporting stores in the country. We believe these lists to be the most accurate indication of what is really being read.
  
  
• Book Sense 76
  --a bimonthly book review with signed contributions from independent booksellers in member stores. Find out what veteran booksellers everywhere really like to read.
  
• Gift Certificates
  --that can be bought at any member store and redeemed at any member store. This is a great gift idea. You can purchase a gift certificate at Book Ends Winchester and mail it to another state, for example, where the recipient can redeem it at a favorite bookstore that is a member of Booksense.
